Bio     Barbara Jane Elledge, age 62, of Sunrise Beach, peacefully ended this journey on Saturday, February 26, 2011. Her journey began on August 2, 1948, when she was welcomed by her parents, Jack Eugene May and Geraldine Rozelma (Thomas) May. She was the youngest of three. Barbara grew up in the Kansas City area and graduated from Van Horn High School in Independence in 1966. She spent a number of years working at Peterson Manufacturing in Grandview before moving to the Lake of the Ozarks in 2003. Barbara was currently working as a care provider for American Home Health Care. The joys of her journey included spending time with family and friends, the Kansas City Chiefs, fireworks, playing cards, fishing, and taking care of her clients. She was especially fond of living on the lake. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Leo, and nephew, Bill. Her survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Scarlett and Phil Cahow, of Sunrise Beach; daughter, Sheryl Book and her husband, Randy, of Centerview; daughter, Stacey McCune and her husband, Don, of Centerview; grandsons, Michael and Noah, and granddaughter, Lisa; nephews, Larry Hoover and Larry Cahow, and niece, Renee Bishop. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Please join her family and friends for a celebration of her life at 1 p.m., on Saturday, March 5, 2011, at the Kidwell- Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Medical Missions for Christ, 1974 North Highway 5, Camdenton, Missouri, 65020.
