| Bio | All services for Theresa Bowers will be held Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs, MO.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.  Memorial service will begin at 6:00 p.m.  In accordance with Theresa’s wishes, she would like everyone to wear Kansas City Chiefs attire to the services. Theresa Ann (Tolbert) Bowers, 76, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO.  She was born May 4, 1949, to Ralph Sr. and Anna Mae (Rothberger) Tolbert in Kansas City, MO.
Theresa was a 1967 graduate of Van Horn High School in Independence, MO.  On June 27, 1986, Theresa was united in marriage to Damon Nichols Bowers in Miami, OK.  Theresa spent 30 plus years working for the IRS as a manager for seasonal tax preparation.  She was Christian by faith.  Theresa was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan who also enjoyed gardening, crafting, jewelry making, and working with diamond art.  Theresa was a Christmas present wrapping guru and made the most beautiful bows to go with the presents.  Above all Theresa cherished spending time with her beloved family and friends.
Theresa is survived by her son, Darren Luppens and wife Diana of Grain Valley, MO; brother, William Tolbert and wife Regina and their son, William Wesley Tolbert of Odessa, MO; sisters-in-law, Dee Wallace, Nell Bowers; grandchildren, Lindsay Merlo and husband E.J., Alyssa Luppens; great-grandchildren, Annabell Jackson-Smith, Easton Merlo, Maclin Merlo, Tatum Merlo, and Montana Parton; numerous other nieces and nephews.  Theresa was preceded in death by her husband; parents; grandson, Ryan Smith; brother, Ralph Tolbert Jr; brother-in-law, Dennis Bowers. |
