| Bio | Roger Lynn Heitzman, 44, Independence, died Tuesday, April 22, 1997, at St. Mary`s Hospital of Blue Springs. Mr. Heitzman was a graduate of Van Horn High School, and received a bachelor`s degree from Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, a master`s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland. He was a member of the Delta Chi fraternity and was an ordained minister of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. His survivors include one son, Jason Ryan Heitzman, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Heitzman, one brother, Robert L. Heitzman, and one sister, Brenda S. Brown, all of Independence. Memorial services will be 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Blue Ridge Boulevard RLDS Church, 3317 Blue Ridge Blvd. Additional obit: Had been a member of The Lepidopterist's Society from 1972 through 1985. |
