Bio     Stephen C. Pierce, 57, of Oak Grove, MO, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 2 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons, Floral Hills Chapel. Burial in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 5 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Kansas City Hospice or the American Cancer Society . Steve was born June 3, 1952 in Kansas City, MO, and had lived in this area all of his life. He worked for the Ford Motor Co. in Claycomo, MO as a Pipefitter for 18 years. He was a member of the Woods Chapel Church of God, the Jackson County Sheriff's Posse, U.A.W. Local #249, a former member of the Plumbers Union, Local #8, he was an Eagle Scout and an avid horse lover. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Lewis Bradshaw and his grandparents, Marvin and Evelyn Parker. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Roberta D. Pierce of the home, two sons and daughters-in-law, Nathan and Rachel Pierce of Blue Springs, MO, Patrick and Shelia Pierce of San Diego, CA, his parents, Clayton and Delene Pierce of Grain Valley, MO, a brother and sister-in-law, David and Linda Pierce of Oak Grove, MO, a sister and brother-in-law, Shari and Randy Anderson of Grain Valley, MO, his mother-in- law, Hazel Bradshaw of Lee's Summit, MO, six nieces and nephews, their spouses, eleven great-nieces and nephews and one grandchild.
