Bio     Web posted Thursday, October 18, 2001 from the Examiner Mike Poloney Jr. Mike Poloney Jr., 49, Independence, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2001, at Independence Regional Health Center. Mr. Poloney was born March 1, 1952, in Kansas City and was a lifelong area resident. He worked for the Barbour Concrete plant, was a graduate of Van Horn High School and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 385 and the Freedom of the Road Riders. His survivors include three children, Christina Burch, Independence, Brian Burch, Raytown, and Alisha Sales, of the home; his mother, Alice Murdy, Blue Springs; two brothers, Mark Poloney and David Poloney, and two sisters, Nikki Green and Andra Poloney, all of Independence; and one grandson, Tyler. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at New Salem Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at New Salem Funeral Home.

Jerry is a VH Alumni (1960) and will be gifting a Falcon sculpture he created to VH at this time. All school alumni are welcome to attend.
