| Bio | Linda Sue Shook, 40, Independence, MO, passed away June 5, 1996, at her home. Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, at the Geroge C. Carson & Sons Independence Chapel. Cremation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Audubon Burroughs Society, c/o Ann Sink, 4904 Mohawk Dr., Shawnee Mission, KS 66205. Linda was born February 9, 1956, in Independence, MO. She was a lifelong area resident. She was a 1974 graduate of Van Horn High School. She was a member of the FOE 385 Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the American Legion Post 21, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. She was a member of the Teamsters. She worked for Clarkson Construction Company from 1980-1986. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Giffen, in 1995; her adopted parents, Carl and Frances Shook, and brothers, Larry Shook and Edward Shook. Survivors include her sister, Nellie Kretzchmer, Schertz, TX; brothers, Robert Shook and William Shook, both of Independence, MO, Rocky Comstock, St. Joseph, MO and John Doan; half brother, Steve Turner, Kansas City, MO; and her mother, Wanda Hargrave, Guilford, MO.
